South Africa is one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the world. With its fantastic scenery, vibrant cities, unbeatable safaris and beautiful beaches it's a real mustsee- before-you-die destination. And now there is a large number of wonderful and imaginative spas to add to the allure.

Cape Town is one of the country's three capital cities and is probably the most picturesque. And slap bang in the middle of the city, there it is, the most splendid and enduring image that shouts out Cape Town just as Buck House shouts out London. Table Mountain. Soaring 1,000 metres into the sky.

No matter how many photos you've seen of Cape Town's icon, nothing does justice to the real thing. I was lucky enough to catch a window of cloudless skies during my stay and took the cable car to the summit for an awesome view of the coastline. It really did feel like I was at the top of the world.
